DAMASCUS, Dec. 11 (YPA) – The “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights” reported on Wednesday that a Jewish organization conducted a visit, the first of its kind in decades, to a Jewish synagogue and school that had been closed for decades in the Jamilia neighborhood of Aleppo, Syria.
The visit, described as a religious and cultural event, took place in the presence of two Rabbis who reportedly arrived from the Zionist entity unannounced. The tour included an inspection of two ancient synagogues in Jamilia and Bab al-Nasr.
The observatory indicated that the event location witnessed intensive security deployment by General Security forces, who imposed a strict cordon to prevent citizens from approaching the vicinity of the synagogue.
This step comes in the context of an unprecedented series of “Israeli” activities inside Syrian territories in recent months, following similar previous activities in Damascus, reflecting an “Israeli” direction to open paths for “soft influence” within Syria.
