Field commander in Al-Quds Brigades reveals details of foiling major Israeli operation in West Bank
WEST BANK, Dec. 02 (YPA) — A field commander in the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad in the occupied West Bank, said the group had foiled a major Israeli operation.
He added that Israeli commanders had been trying for several weeks to claim “desperate battlefield achievements” through targeted killings in an effort to break the fighters’ spirit .
“We implemented appropriate plans suited to the field data and conditions after studying and analyzing the behavior of the enemy army and the sensitive information we obtained from the drones that our fighters dealt with using appropriate firepower, shooting down a number of them in Tubas governorate and Al-Far’a refugee camp in recent weeks,” the commander said in a statement last last night.
He added, ” Our fighters in the Beit Ummar company in Al-Khalil and the heroes of the Nablus Brigade were able to preempt the expected Zionist action and surprise it with ambushes and explosive devices, which caused a shock among the enemy’s officers and soldiers, and the enemy admitted that a number of them were injured”.
“The moment the enemy announced the launch of his failed operation, which he called “Five Stones”, our fighters were lying in wait for them, and in the first hours, they managed to disable a D9 military bulldozer that had advanced into the Wadi Al-Tiyaseer axis after targeting it with a “Toufan” type ground explosive device, and disabling a military jeep by detonating a “Sijil” type directed explosive device in the town of Tammoun.”
He continued, “The enemy thought he would break the will of our mujahideen by assassinating our martyr brothers Yusuf Asa’asa and Al-Muntasir Billah Abdullah in Jenin and its countryside after his failure in Tubas, but our mujahideen rubbed his nose in the dust of Silat al-Harithiya and smashed his stones with explosive devices that were prepared and planted in advance on the routes where the enemy was expected to pass.”
The commandeer reassured the Palestinian people that the brigades’ capabilities are fine, and fighters are highly prepared and vigilant, and they will not allow the enemy to create a new reality in the cities and towns of the West Bank.
He renewed his call to the Palestinian Authority’s security services to stop pursuing the mujahideen and immediately release the detained resistance fighters, tortured in its prisons.
