Meteorology warns of heat-wave in desert areas

SANAA, May 26 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning warned on Monday of heat-wave in desert areas and coastal plains.

In its weather forecast, the center reported that maximum temperatures in desert areas may range between 39 to 46 degrees Celsius, while between 35 to 38 degrees Celsius in coastal areas.

It also predicted varying rainfall may fall on the provinces of Ibb, Taiz, Dhalea and the highlands of Lahj, and scattered rain in parts of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma and Dhamar.

The center renewed its warnings to citizens in desert and coastal areas of hot and extremely hot weather.
