Sanaa: US ceasefire agreement marks ‘unprecedented strategic victory’ for Yemen

SANAA,  May 10 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Sanaa declared that the agreement to halt US aggression, brokered by Oman, marks an “unprecedented strategic victory” for Yemen against what is often described as the “world’s greatest power.”

In a statement issued on Friday, the ministry noted that while the U.S. had sought to stop Yemen’s support for the Palestinian people in Gaza, it was ultimately forced to abandon its own backing of the usurping Zionist entity.

The agreement, the statement added, reflects America’s abject failure to achieve its objectives in Yemen—having failed to legitimize its aggression at the United Nations or drag other nations into its war. Washington pursued this deal, the ministry argued, to extricate itself from the Yemeni quagmire and save face.

The statement praised the global understanding of many nations toward Yemen’s stance in supporting the just Palestinian cause and defending international law and justice.

The Foreign Ministry ridiculed Trump’s attempts to cover up his failure by fabricating claims of a hollow victory, while commending the efforts of Oman in brokering the ceasefire agreement.

It highlighted the wise leadership of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, who has worked tirelessly to promote peace in the region and extinguish wars targeting its people—even as other regimes fuel strife and implement the destructive agendas of enemies.

The ministry reiterated Yemen’s religious, moral, and humanitarian commitment to stand with the Palestinian people in Gaza until the aggression ends and the unjust siege by the Zionist occupiers is lifted.
