Seismic monitoring station: Two earthquakes hit Hazm Al-Udayn in Ibb

IBB, March 13 (YPA) – Dhamar’s seismic and volcanic monitoring stations recorded two consecutive earthquakes in Hazm Al-Udayn district of Ibb province.

The center’s head, Eng. Mohammed Hussein Al-Houthi, confirmed that the epicenter of the two tremors was 8 km west of Hazm Al-Udayn district, explaining that the first tremor, measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale, struck the area at 1:29 a.m.

He added that the second earthquake, with a magnitude of 2.8, occurred at 1:43 a.m.

Engineer Al-Houthi explained that the center’s staff are continuing to monitor seismic activity in the region, noting that the two tremors were mild and did not cause any human or material damage.
