FM, IOM discuss issues of Illegal migrants, IDPs in Yemen

SANAA, July 17 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Tuesday met with acting resident representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Yemen, Stefano Pes.

The meeting reviewed IOM efforts to address topics of illegal immigrants from the Horn Africa countries to Yemeni territories.

It also touched on the needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Yemen, especially from Hodeidah province and ways to alleviate their suffering.

In the meeting, the IOM official pointed to the latest developments in the transfer of illegal immigrants to their countries.
