Iran’s mission to UN: Response to Haniyeh’s assassination will be “tougher special operations”

TEHRAN, July 31 (YPA) – Iran’s mission to the United Nations said on Wednesday that “the response to the assassination of the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran will be with more stringent special operations to instill remorse in the souls of its perpetrator.’”

On Wednesday, the Hamas movement announced the assassination of the head of its political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, in an Israeli raid on his residence in Tehran.

The Iranian authorities opened an investigation into the circumstances of Haniyeh’s assassination in Tehran, stressing that the results will be announced at a later time, while no official statement has been issued by Israel so far in this regard.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said, “The Zionist regime’s crime of assassinating Haniyeh will face a harsh response from the powerful resistance front, especially Iran.”

Haniyeh arrived in Tehran to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the new Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, and met him yesterday evening, Tuesday.
