Oil workers announce partial strike in Shabwa

SHABWA, April 22 (YPA) – The Workers Union and employees of the oil company in Shabwa province announced on Monday the start of a partial strike from next Wednesday.

A statement issued by the union confirmed the start of a partial strike, starting next Wednesday, with red badges raised for a period of three days, followed by comprehensive and general strike steps on Tuesday, April 29, until all their demands are implemented without discussion or negotiation.

The statement warned of the closure of the company branch as a result of administrative failure without achieving any achievement for the company branch, which is under the control of the authorities loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.

The statement indicated that the current management is unable to advance the company branch except by creating problems between the union and the General Assembly without improving the living conditions of workers and employees, calling for changing the current management of the company branch and appointing contractors according to priority.
