Palestinian Baseball Federation’s technical director martyred in Gaza

GAZA, April 15 (YPA) – Technical director of the Palestinian Baseball Federation, Ashraf Murad, was martyred as a result of genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation forces against Gaza Strip.

“Ashraf Murad is one of those who graduated in baseball during its founding stages in the Gaza Strip several years ago, where he played with the Beach Services Club,” the Palestine Olympic Committee said in an official statement on Sunday.

The statement confirmed that Murad “won two league championships in 2017 and 2019, and Murad’s most notable achievement was winning the silver medal in the West Asian Championship last year, when he participated internationally with the national team for the first time and reached the final.”

Ashraf Murad, also according to the Palestinian Olympic Committee, had moved to the world of coaching and assumed the position of technical director of the federation in the Gaza Strip.
