Magnitude 5.5 earthquake hits Southern Iran region

WORLD, March 05 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale has hit southern Iran, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported on Tuesday.

According to the center’s statement, the earthquake occurred at 04:20 AM UTC, 120 kilometers southwest of the city of Iranshahr and at a depth of 10 kilometers.

There have been no immediate reports of possible casualties or damages to buildings so far.
