SANAA, Sept. 14 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology warned on Tuesday a heat wave sweeping various parts of desert provinces of Yemen.
In its weather forecast, the center affirmed maximum temperatures ranging between 38-43 degrees Celsius will hit of desert areas and inland plateaus, and 35-40 degrees Celsius temperatures will hit residents of the coastal plains.
The center affirmed that the rains may fall over the provinces of Taiz, Dhalea, Ibb, Rayma, Hajjah, Mahweet, Saada, and Amran, Dhamar, Sanaa, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramaut.
It warned citizens against being in the depths of valleys and flood paths in areas where rain expected, calling on motorists to drive carefully on the mountainous roads as a result of the decrease in horizontal visibility.
