Performance of independent, attached funds discussed at joint parliamentary-government meeting

SANAA, Feb. 22 (YPA) – The joint parliamentary-governmental meeting, chaired by the Parliament Speaker, Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i, discussed on Wednesday issues related to the performance of the independent and supplementary funds.

During the meeting, Al-Ra’i confirmed that the convening of these meetings is part of the framework of cooperation and integration between the constitutional authorities, and that they will assess the performance of the executive authorities as well as their commitment to applying laws and regulations in carrying out their duties.

He pointed out that the meetings come to study the level of performance, know the achievements and failures, and the possibility of avoiding deficiencies and addressing imbalances, wherever they are, in order to find appropriate solutions to many of the problems that impede the workflow in some entities.

The Speaker of Parliament urged everyone to redouble their efforts and enhance the performance of tasks and duties in the most complete manner possible, calling on the members of Parliament to reconvene next Saturday to debate the latest developments in the national, regional, and international arenas.

The discussions focused on the significance of tackling difficult challenges related to service improvement.
