WORLD, Jan. 19 (YPA) – At least 15 soldiers were killed and 3 others injured in a fire that broke out in a military barracks, The Armenian Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Thursday.
“According to preliminary data, the fire which broke out in the barracks of an engineering-sapper company of the Armenian Armed Forces killed 15 soldiers, and caused the injury of 3 others. They are in critical condition,” the ministry explained.
Authorities said the cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
The fire broke out around 01:30, January 19 in the barracks located in Azat village, Gegharkunik province.
