HADRAMOUT, Sept. 27 (YPA) – Jean-Marie Safa, the French ambassador to Yemen, has arrived in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, coming from his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, accompanied by a number of French advisers and experts, media sources reported on Monday.
The sources explained that the French ambassador met with military and political leaders from pro-coalition forces in the city of Mukalla.
They discussed ways to secure the process of “looting” gas exports from the Balhaf facility in the occupied province of Shabwa, which is controlled by the French company Total.
The sources confirmed that the French ambassador is seeking to disembark French troops at Mukalla airport, which was scheduled to arrive in Balhaf, amid Fears of being directly bombed by Sanaa forces.
