OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 20 (YPA) – A number of Palestinians suffocated on Monday evening during confrontations with Israeli occupation forces in the village of Jalameh, northeast of Jenin in the West Bank.
The head of the village council, Amjad Abu Farha, said in a press statement that the enemy forces stormed the village and created a military checkpoint.
They [ occupation forces] searched vehicles and verified the identities of citizens, while occupation soldiers climbed on the roofs of a number of houses, which led to the outbreak of confrontations that resulted in dozens of citizens being suffocated by tear gas.
The wounded were treated on the ground, he added.
Moreover, a number of citizens suffocated during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
Local sources said that the occupation forces stormed the Al-Dhahr area, near the settlement of “Carmei Tzur”, which was built on the citizens’ lands south of the town, where conflict erupted, resulting in dozens of civilians suffocating with tear gas, and they were treated in the field.
It is noteworthy that the occupation forces deliberately stormed several areas in Beit Ummar, provoking the citizens.
