Hamas delegation continues its talks with Russian officials in Moscow

MOSCOW, Sept. 14 (YPA) – The Palestinian Hamas movement delegation led by Ismail Haniyeh, head of the movement’s political bureau, met on Tuesday during a visit to Moscow a number of Russian officials.

The delegation met with Mr. Leond Slutsky, Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party and Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Duma, and Grigory Karasin, Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian Federation Council.

During the meetings, they exchanged views on the Palestinian reality and regional and international developments.

It is noteworthy that the visit of the Palestinian delegation to Moscow came on the basis of an official invitation to the leadership of the movement.

During this visit, a number of files will be presented, including the Russian role in contributing to easing the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip, and discussing the possibility of benefiting from the Russian presence in international forums to support the Palestinian cause.
