Hadrami Uprising imposes armed siege on Seiyun city

HADRAMOUT, Sept. 09 (YPA) – The pro-UAE Hadrami Upraising Forces on Thursday began besieging the stronghold of the pro-Islah Forces Command in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

Informed sources said that units of the Hadrami Uprising had arrived in the past hours at the districts of Trim and Sah, which borders the city of Seiyun to the southeastern side.

The sources explained that the elements of the Emirati faction are seeking to encircle the city from two axes, noting that they cut off the roads leading to Seiyun from the eastern port.

The developments come a few hours after the first military region stationed in the city of Seiyun raised the  alert level to its the highest, in anticipation of a possible attack by  the UAE-backed factions, in conjunction  with the UAE’s threat of support for a major military invasion of the oil plateau.

According to the sources, According to the Sources, the first military region’s forces deployed their tanks on the road linking Seiyun and Marib, and created fortified positions in several districts of the province.
