Sanaa condemns coalition’s attack on mass transit bus in eastern Yemen

SANAA, Aug. 17 (YPA) – Land Transport Regulatory Authority condemned the attack on a mass transit bus, by the Saudi-led coalition’s air strikes, on the road line between Hadramout and Shabwa governorates.

In a statement, the authority stated that a bus was bombed by the UAE air force on Monday evening while a group of buses were passing on “Al-Dawli” road line between Hadramout and Shabwa.

The statement confirmed that the raid led to the killing of the bus driver (Yemeni), while his assistant (Egyptian) and a girl were critically injured.

It pointed out that the aggression deliberately and directly killed innocent civilians in cold blood in various governorates without exception, noting that the attack on civilians is a clear violation of the humanitarian truce.

The statement called on the international community, led by the United Nations, the sponsor of the humanitarian truce in Yemen, to assume its responsibility towards the terrorism, massacres and killing of innocent civilians, in light of a truce that is supposed to have been established in order to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

The Authority stressed that what the citizens were subjected to would not go unnoticed if the United Nations did not act on this crime.
