Ongoing rain expected in several Yemeni provinces within coming hours

SANAA, Aug. 16 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology has expected the ongoing rain o most of Yemeni provinces for the last next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center stated that rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, would prevail over separate areas of the provinces of Taiz – Lahj – Ibb – Dhalea – Bayda – Abyan – Raymah – Dhamar – Mahweet – Hajjah and Saada and parts of Sanaa, Amran, Mahra – Hadramout and Shabwa.

According to the center, winds would be strong, ranging between 25-45 knots in the Socotra archipelago and 15-25 knots in the Gulf of Aden and the eastern and southern coasts.

The center warned citizens not to be presence in valleys and water ways due to heavy rains, calling on motorists to drive carefully as a result of thick fog on mountainous roads.
