Clashes between two tribes in Shabwah leave casualties

SHABWAH, Jul.04 (YPA) – Violent clashes broke out on Monday between tribal gunmen in Yemen’s  southern province of Shabwah.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimonies of local sources

According to local sources, clashes broke out with various weapons between the tribes of al-Askar and al-Dawla in the Nassab district, west of Ataq city.

The sources said the tribes exchanged artillery shelling which caused civilian casualties from both sides.

The shelling also caused damage to the homes of the two tribes, whose dispute dates back years, the sources added.
