Ethiopian army executes 7 Sudanese soldiers

WORLD, Jun. 27 (YPA) – Sudan’s military has accused Ethiopia’s army of executing seven Sudanese soldiers and a civilian who were captives, the Sudanese armed forces said in a statement on Sunday.

“This treacherous act will not pass without a response,” the statement read.

“The Ethiopian army executed seven Sudanese soldiers and a citizen who were prisoners, and then handed  them to their citizens with meanness, in violation of all laws and customs of war and international humanitarian law,” the Sudanese army said in a statement on its Facebook page.

“The Sudanese Armed Forces extend their deepest condolences to the families of the martyr, stressing that this treacherous act will not go unanswered,” the stamen read.

They Sudanese army vowed that there would be “an appropriate response”, according to the statement .
