Protest rally closes Aden ports

ADEN, June. 20 (YPA) – Dozens of protesters closed on Monday the port of Al-Zeit, west of the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

According to eyewitnesses, the demonstrators blocked the gate of the port in al-Buraiqeh district, and prevented tankers from leaving the port.

The protesters announced their sit-in in front of the port gate, due to the deterioration of living conditions until prices returned to their normal position.

The city of Aden has witnessed angry protests due to the high price of gasoline, the collapse of the electricity system, and the security chaos.

The demonstrators blocked many of the main streets in Aden, leading to Ma’ashiq Palace in the Crater area, where the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council and the its government.
