Protest against coalition hits Hadhramaut city of Mukalla for fourth day in row

HADHRAMAUT, Jun. 17 (YPA) – Angry protests have escalated on Thursday in the occupied city of Mukalla, Hadhramaut, province, for the fourth day in a row, condemning the continued power outages.

Thousands of people from Mukalla and Qusaia’r took to street to protest in the past few hours, denouncing the escalating power outages, which increased  to more than 16 hours a day.

They denounced the Saudi-led coalition-backed government’s disregard for their suffering, demanding the speedy disbursement of energy companies’ dues and the provision of fuel.

The protests come against the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council and the coalition-backed government across its control, as they failed  to address the complex crises experienced by citizens in southern provinces.
