Coalition forces commit 107 violations of UN-brokered truce

PROVINCES, May 19 (YPA) – The US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces continued to violate the UN-brokered humanitarian and military truce in Yemen, committing 107 violations during the past 24 hours.

A military source reported that the violations included two raids on the homes of citizens and the sites of the army and the popular committees in Malah area in Natea district of Bayda province, and 49 sorties of armed and spying reconnaissance aircraft over the provinces of Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Jawf, Saada, Sanaa, Dhalea and Bayda.

The source confirmed that the coalition mercenaries established combat fortifications around the city of Marib and Ras al-Taba al-Khadra area in Moris district of Dhalea province.

The coalition mercenaries also committed ten violations with artillery shelling on the positions of the army and committees in Bani Hassan area in Hajjah, Al-Madafen and Al-Malahidh areas in Saada, and Wabnan area in Moris district of Dhalea, and Wadi Jarah and Al-Amoud areas in Jizan region, according to the source.

The source pointed out that 45 violations by shooting at the homes of citizens and the positions of the army and the popular committees were recorded in Marib, Taiz, Hajjah, Saada, Dhalea and the border fronts.
