Zakat launches first empowerment projects for Palestinian community

SANAA, April 30 (YPA) – The General Authority for Zakat, launched on Saturday a project to distribute cash zakat to the members of the Palestinian community for 523 families.

Head of the Authority, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nishtan, affirmed that the project would target about 523 families at an amount of 15 million and 690 thousand riyals.

He stated explained the interest of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, with the Palestinian brothers, following up on their conditions and needs.

“There are many projects that the authority intends to implement in coordination with the Yemen Palestine Organization, including economic empowerment in order to create job opportunities and integrate the Palestinian brothers into the programs of the Authority, Abu Nishtan said.

The project came in coordination with the Yemen Palestine Organization for Development and Humanitarian Response.
