Foreign Ministry: Army operations are natural result of Saudi Arabia, UAE’s ignoring previous warnings

SANAA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa on Monday confirmed that the armed forces operations in Saudi Arabia and the UAE are a natural result of the two countries’ ignoring the previous warnings.

“The military operations carried out by the army and the popular committees are not surprising, but rather a natural result of previous warnings that were misunderstood by the two aggression states, Saudi Arabia and the UAE,” an official source at the Ministry said in a statement.

The source affirmed the position of the political leadership and the National Salvation Government in Sanaa is still with the real and honorable peace in a manner that preserves the security and stability of the Yemeni people.

“It is time to stop this brutal aggression and for Abu Dhabi and Riyadh to rule the mind and give priority to the interests of all the peoples of the region and seize the proposed regional peace initiatives,” the source said.

The source reiterated that the option of peace is on the table, but there must be an immediate start of humanitarian confidence-building measures, foremost of which are the reopening of Sanaa airport for civil and commercial flights, lifting the siege on the ports of Hodeida, and allowing the entry of fuel ships, to create the appropriate atmosphere for peace consultations and a comprehensive political settlement.
