2 Israeli soldiers wounded by “friendly fire” on Egyptian border

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Jan. 27 (YPA) – Two Israeli soldiers were wounded by bullets from their colleagues, after a “wrong diagnosis” on the border with Egypt, Hebrew sources said On Thursday.

The sources stated that a force from the “Caracal Brigade” opened fire on a “Land Cruiser” car near the Nitzana crossing with Egypt, after believing that it was owned by smugglers.

The sources indicated that it turned out that the “vehicle was secret” and belonged to the Israeli occupation army and the two Israeli soldiers were inside, one of whom sustained minor injuries and was discharged from Soroka Hospital, while the other was wounded in the hand and will undergo surgery.
