Humanitarian Affairs Council condemns coalition’s airstrikes on water networks in Saada

SAADA, Jan. 12 (YPA) – The branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Saada province on Wednesday condemned targeting water tanks in the city of Saada province by the Saudi-led coalition warplanes.

In a statement, the council stated that the bombing of the water tanks project cause a great damage to the generator and solar system and led to complete suspension of the project..

The statement considered it as brutal crime directly targeting the lives of civilians, in which 135,000 residents of Saada and its environs depend on this project  for water.

It pointed out that the coalition deliberately targeted service projects and basic service infrastructure in the city.

The statement  called on all international and human rights organizations and to quickly address the catastrophic damage to the lives of citizens who will have to buy water with high prices in the absence of oil derivatives.

The Council confirmed the continuation of efforts to provide everything that would alleviate the suffering of displaced persons and those affected by the province and other residents.
