Russian Deputy Foreign Minister: Anti-Russian sentiment within NATO affects dialogue between Washington and Moscow

SANAA, Jan. 10 (YPA) – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said the United States is not satisfied with its bilateral discussion with Russia on security guarantees.

Ryabkov attributed this to the anti-Russian hatred of Moscow by some NATO members.

“For them, having a bilateral dialogue with us is uncomfortable, because they feel behind them the eyes and ears of NATO’s  most anti-Russian groups,” Ryabkov said in an interview with Sputnik on the eve of his meeting with the US representative in Geneva.

Geneva on Monday (January 10) will host closed-door negotiations between Russia and the United States on the issue of security guarantees, amid growing tension in Russian-Western relations, to be held on January 12 at a meeting of the Russia-NATO Council in Brussels.
