Tawoos stresses need for “UNOPS” projects to include all provinces

SANAA, Dec. 19 (YPA) – The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulmohsen Tawoos, on Saturday stressed the need to add Hajjah, Bayda and Mahweet provinces within UNOPS projects.

This came during his meeting today with the Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) – Amman, Mohammad Othman Ahmed.

Tawoos pointed out that the service and development projects funded by the office in Yemen had a positive impact on society and alleviated the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and siege.

For his part, Mohammad Othman praised the cooperation of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs and the facilitation of the UNOPS tasks, confirming the office readiness to intervene in several sectors, especially in the services sector.
