Coalition forces fail to advance south of Hays in Hodeida

HODEIDA, Dec. 05 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees (Sanaa forces) on Sunday thwarted a new attempt to advance by the Saudi-led coalition forces in Hodeida province, in a flagrant military violation of the Sweden agreement.

A field military source confirmed that units of the army and popular committees were able to repel the coalition forces’ attempt to advance in south of Hays district that lasted four hours.

The advance attempt was accompanied by an intense flight of the coalitions’ warplanes and spy aircraft, the source added.

This comes less than 24 hours after the Sanaa forces foiled a similar attempt to advance on the same front, in a military escalation of the coalition on the western coast.
