Syria: Two children killed in landmine blast in Palmyra

PALMYRA, Nov. 20 (YPA) – At least two children were killed and two others were injured when a landmine, left behind the Daesh terrorists, went off on Friday in the residential Ja’amyeat area in Palmyra, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported , citing medic sources.

Director of the General Authority of Palmyra National Hospital, Dr. Walid Odeh, told SANA reporter that the staff of Palmyra National Hospital provided the necessary first aid for the injured, who were subjected to various wounds as a result of the explosion of the landmine before they were transferred to Homs hospitals.

Takfirist groups planted mines and improvised explosive devices in neighbourhoods, along roads and in parks to inflict the greatest harm on residents and intimidate them to prevent them from returning to their homes after being liberated  from terrorism.
