Tawoos stresses importance of doubling humanitarian aid for IDPs

SANAA, Nov. 10 (YPA) – Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdulmohsen Tawoos, on Tuesday stressed the importance of doubling humanitarian aid for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in all provinces.

This came during his meeting in Sanaa with Deputy Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Yemen to discuss the needs of the displaced for humanitarian aid.

They touched on the humanitarian situation of the displaced in light of the continuing waves of displacement in a number of provinces and the humanitarian crisis, which is considered the worst in the world.

At the meeting, the UNHCR official indicated that the commission would implement projects during the coming period in many provinces.
