Russia: magnitude-5.8 earthquake strikes near Kuril Islands

SANAA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale struck the Russian Kuril Islands on Tuesday

According to the US Geological Survey, the quake occurred at a depth of 59.8 kilometers.

It added, no injuries or damage had been recorded and there have also been no warnings about the possibility of tsunamis.
