2 pro-coalition commanders killed in Marib

MARIB, Oct. 09 (YPA) – About 2 senior commanders loyal to the Saudi-led coalition were killed in violate clashes that erupted on Saturday in Marib province, local sources said.

The sources explained that the confrontation that happened between the Yemeni army and the Saudi-led coalition forces left also dozens of dead and wounded on both sides, especially in the ranks of the coalition forces, backed Al-Qaeda members, in al-Jouba district of Bain Abad area.

The sources identified the commanders of the coalition killed as “Yasser La’akab Al-Omari”, one of the leaders of the “156th Brigade” and “Anas Al-Saidi”, the son of Sheikh Nasser Al-Saidi, leader of the so-called Abdiya resistance.

The sources confirmed that the military attack by the army forces came after the coalition forces refused to leave the area safely, excepting terrorist elements from Al-Qaeda.
