US Covid-19 death cases exceed 700,000

SANAA, Oct. 02 (YPA) – More than 700,000 people died in the United States on Friday due to Covid-19, nearly equivalent to Washington’ population.

According to Johns Hopkins University statistics, as of Friday, the United States had recorded 700258 deaths, the highest number in the world, far ahead of other countries with record deaths such as Brazil and India.

In a related context, the White House described the rise in the number of deaths from CORONA VIRUS in the US to 700,000 in shocking and terrifying reality.

“This is a shocking and terrifying number of lives lost to the pandemic,” ,” White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said at a press conference Friday. People have lost their relatives, parents, grandparents, grandmothers and, in many cases, their children.

This comes as the administration of President Joe Biden intensifies its campaign to give enhanced doses of coronavirus vaccines, particularly to the elderly and people in high-risk occupations.
