Yemen Red Sea Ports Corporation affirms full readiness to receive commercial ships

HODEIDA, Aug. 07 (YPA) – The Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation affirmed on Saturday its full technical readiness to receive all commercial ships and containers.

Deputy chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation, Yahya Sharaf al-Din, clarified that Hodeida port is ready technically to receive container ships, noting that the Corporation will provide all facilities.

Sharaf al-Din pointed out that the Saudi-led coalition-held sea ports do not operate according to specific regulations and systems, but are subject to the management of the occupier, who controls the quality of imports.

He stated that the customs tariff in Hodeida port is much lower than the ones in the ports, which are under the control of the coalition, explaining that the costs of marine insurance and transportation from the port of Aden are very high on the Yemeni citizen’s livelihood.
