Rains of varying intensity can continue within coming hours: NCM

SANAA, Aug. 02 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said rains of varying intensity could continue to fall on the mountainous heights in most of Yemeni provinces during the next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin, the center pointed out the continuation of instability in the atmosphere with moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms from Taiz and Lahj in the south to Saada in the north.

According to the center, the widespread dust will continue to affect the desert areas of the provinces of Hadramout, Jawf, Marib and Mahra, and in parts of the southern and eastern coasts.

The center warned citizens in areas where rain expected to not be present in waterways and valleys in order to preserve their safety and property, calling for taking the necessary precautions.

It also advised motorists to drive carefully on the mountain roads and the western coastal plains because of the noticeable decrease in the horizontal visibility, and rock and mudslides.
