UAE weapons shipment arrives at Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Jul. 23 (YPA) – The UAE forces have send a large shipment of weapons to Hadramout province, east of Yemen.

Local sources in the province affirmed that the shipments of weapons and military equipment arrived at Al-Rayyan Airport, which has been under the control of its forces since 2016.

The sources pointed out that the Emirati weapons and equipment were transferred from the island of Socotra, warning of a new scheme targeting the sons of Hadramout.

The UAE is seeking to conclude a deal with the governor of Hadramout, commander of the “Second Military Region”, Faraj Al-Bahsani, loyal to Hadi government, to help the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias the control over oil district of Hadramout Valley , which are under the control of the militants of the leader of the Saudi-backed Islah Party, Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar.

Earlier, the STC had threatened Hadi government with a strong response targeting Hadi parliament’s members in Seiyun city.
