ICRC condemns execution of war prisoners in Bayda

SANAA, Jul. 19 (YPA) – The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Monday condemned the heinous crime committed by takfirist factions backed  US-Saudi Coalition Aggression in which they beaded two war prisoners belonging to the Yemeni army and  popular committees in Bayda province during recent battles.

 “All persons captured during hostilities in Bayda province must be treated humanely and all possible measures taken to protect civilians and their property must be taken,” the ICRC  said in a statement.

 During the recent battles, The National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs said in, a statement, that Saqr Ghanem Rashid Hussein al-Maliki and Mohammed Ahmed Murshid Tawaf were beheaded by the terrorist element hired by the Saudi-led coalition in Bayda .

 The army and popular committed found their bodies after the liberation of all areas seized by Al-Qaeda and Daesh (ISIS) elements in the Al-Zahir and al- Sawma’ah districts, the statement read.
