Human Rights condemns burning of IDP camps in Hodeida

SANAA, Jul. 17 (YPA) – Ministry of Human Rights strongly condemned burning of one of internally displaced people (IDP)’s camps housing 670 families in al-Durayhimi district of Hodeida and destroyed 30 homes.

The ministry said, in a statement, that the coalition and its mercenaries continued to loot and prevent the entry of food and medical supplies to the al-Durayhimi sons, especially the displaced.

The ministry also condemned the deliberate neglect the coalition countries and their mercenaries in protecting the displaced civilians in Markouda camp in the village of Al-Shujaira, south of al-Durayhimi.

It called on the United Nations, its international organizations and the International Committee of the Red Cross to take urgent measures to provide assistance to save displaced and protect them.

The ministry damned the UN special envoys for the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement on Hodeida to take a position on what the displaced people are exposed to in the coalition-held areas and to give priority to humanitarian action over political files.
