Pro-coaltion armed factions block streets in central Taiz

TAIZ, Jul. 14 (YPA) – Military factions of Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition blocked on Wednesday the streets in the center of Taiz city, southwest Yemen, and caused traffic obstruction in the city.

Local sources said that armed groups on military vehicles of the so-called Taiz axis burned tires and cut off the streets leading to Wadi Al-Qadi and Sina neighborhoods, and shot in the air, which sparked terror among the residents.

The move aimed at putting pressure on the Prime Minister of the “Hadi government,” who disrupted the agreement between the local authority and the commanders of the axis to share revenues, the sources explained.

This comes in the context of the chaos witnessed by the city of Taiz after it came under the control of the Hadi government and the coalition.
