According to media sources, the Security Council will vote to extend the implementation of the Hodeida Agreement for the next year, whose term expires today.

The Council will rely on the report of General Abajit Guha, head of the United Nations Mission to Support Hodeida Agreement, which confirms the need to extend the agreement.

The UN session will also discuss the monthly follow-up report submitted by the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, in addition to the report of the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Ramesh Singham, on the efforts of the United Nations to bring peace to Yemen.
