Kuwaiti intellectual warns of UAE’s policy of naturalizing Israelis

SANAA, Jul. 10 (YPA) – The Kuwaiti intellectual and former lawmaker Abdullah Al-Nafis warned against the Gulf over-normalization with the occupation entity, particularly granting Israelis Gulf nationalities.

Al-Nafisi said in a tweet that those who grant Israelis nationalities from GCC countries undoubtedly apply to them the prophetic “ship” talk.

UAE activist and dissident Hamad al-Shamsi had earlier warned that the UAE’s new nationality law meant naturalizing a large number of Israelis.

“The government is working to replace a new people with the people of the UAE, and the Israeli will have an Emeriti citizenship, and will own it and in the GCC countries that treat the UAE as a citizen of its countries,” al-Shamsi said.

According to al- Shamsi, recent changes in the UAE, from allowing the sale of liquor in various places, allowing a man and a woman to live in hotels without requiring a marriage contract, and other matters, came not for Emirati citizens, but for those who would be naturalized.
