Islah authorities force STC to hold secret meeting in cramped room

SHABWAH, Jun.04 (YPA) – Islah authorities forced the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s command to hold a secret meeting in a narrow room in Shabwah province, eastern Yemen.

“I held a meeting with some leaders for a quarter of an hour in secret in Ataq,” said Ali Ahmed al-Jabwani, head of the STC’s branch in Shabwah.

He stressed that the Islah authorities issued a circular letter to all hotels and lounges in the city of Ataq, not allowing the “STC”, to hold any activities and meetings in the city.

Al-Jabwani confirmed that  a citizen had given them an opportunity to hold the meeting  in a small room, adding that there were public arrangements within the directorates and changes in organizational aspects.

He promised the Islah authorities to act at all local levels in the coming days.
