New action threatens to paralyze movement at Aden Airport

ADEN, Jun. 01 (YPA) – The Union of Workers and Employees of Aden International Airport, which is controlled by the Saudi-led coalition, gave the airport’s administration a two days’ respite to respond to all its legitimate rights demands until Wednesday.

In a statement issued last Monday, the union called for improving the living conditions of workers and employees, similar to those in the port of Aden, demanding that the salary and incentive be paid at the difference in exchange, similar to their colleagues in Sanaa.

The union’s statement called for giving airport workers and employees health care and medical travel tickets for cases that require that.

A source in the Union of Workers and Employees of Aden Airport stated, in press statements, that the strike had been postponed since last week, after the airport management and the Civil Aviation Authority, affiliated with the coalition, requested a meeting with the union in order to reach with satisfactory solutions.

The meeting was held and did not come out with any result, the source added.
