Major fire devours fuel station in Taiz

TAIZ, May 26 (YPA) – A major fire caused a fuel station to explode in Osayfira district in Taiz city, southwest Yemen, on Wednesday morning.

A local source stated that a fire broke out at ‘Al-Haddad’ fuel station in ‘Wadi Al-Qadi’ area in Usayfira district, explaining that the citizens and workers at the station managed to flee before the explosion occurred.

Eyewitnesses said that a family who lives in a house in the vicinity of the station is still trapped as a result of the fire.

The reason for the fire, which caused thick smoke covering the area, was not known so far.
