UAE-backed leader threatens to force secession of southern Yemen

ADEN, June 1 (YPA) – UAE-backed leader of Aden-based so-called “Southern Transition Council” Hani Ben Brik on Thursday threatened to force the option of secession of the southern Yemen.
“In order to establish a state of South Yemen and complete independence, we will make every effort at all levels,” Ben Brik wrote on his twitter page.
“Either the independence or the war to force the secession,” he wrote.
United Arab Emirates has been encouraging secession of south Yemen since its occupation forces seized control of the southern Yemeni provinces, including Aden.
Ben Brik’s remarks came simultaneously a so-called interior minister of Saudi-backed exiled, resigned president Hadi has arrived in Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital city, to hold security talks over the southern Yemen.
