Military commander loyal to Hadi vows to retaliate for STC’s acts in Aden

ABYAN, May 24 (YPA) –  A commander of the so-called “Heavy Transport Brigade”, affiliated with Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition has vowed to respond to the acts carried out by the UAE-backed  Southern Transitional  Council (STC) Militia in Aden.

Amjad Khalid, Heavy Transport Brigade, based in Abyan, accused Saleh al-Sayed, a leader in the STC militia of abducting Mazen al-Wasabi, one of the brigade’s officers, on Saturday in front of his home in Dar Saad district, considering his abduction as illegal provocations and actions.

He said he would take all necessary measures if the provocative actions continued, calling on the brigade’s members not to be in the city of Aden, which has become unsafe.

Amjad Khalid demanded the immediate release of Major General Nazih al-Azzibi, Mazen al-Wasabi, and all officers and members of the brigade hidden in the prisons of Commander Saleh al-Sayed.

Aden has become a scene of mutual kidnappings between Islah militants and  the STC militias, following the latter’s invasion of the homes of the military commanders since they took control of the city in August 2019.
