Coalition forces carry out withdrawal from Marib Dam’s vicinity

MARIB, April 15 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition forces carried out on Thursday the military withdrawal from the vicinity of Marib Dam, sources said.

The withdrawal came after the the army and committees launched a large-scale military attack targeting the sites of the coalition forces and Al-Qaeda in the vicinity of the dam, west of the city.

After the battles described as “fierce”, the army were able to the whole control the entire areas of the Marib Dam after the Al-Qaeda members and the recruits of the Joint Operations’ First Brigade fled the frontlines.

According to the sources, the withdrawal of the recruits represented a major blow to the coalition forces in the battles that are taking place on the fronts in the west of the city.

This comes one day after the Yemeni forces took control of strategic sites belonging to the coalition forces, in Al-Balq Al-Qibli area, northeast of the city.
